MESSAGE OF ARCHBISHOP

My Dear People of God in the Archdiocese of Zamboanga

Peace!

On May 19, 2008 the Archdiocese of Zamboanga will celebrate its Golden Jubilee as an Archdiocese. It will be a day of much rejoicing and thanksgiving for us. It is a day for truly counting the bountiful blessings the Lord has given us in the past fifty years. It is also a celebration that should bring us ever closer to one another as a local church; a day that should challenge each one of us to work harder for greater solidarity among us but most especially with those who are less fortunate in life among us. It must also be a celebration that should renew our trust and hope in the Lord as we together face the future.

I am sure that the Lord will bless our Golden Jubilee Celebration. He will grant us the grace to grow stronger in our faith in him; and the grace to bring to us a deeper commitment to continue serving the Church.

Let us come together and celebrate our Golden Jubilee! Let us come together to give praise and thanks to the Lord!
